My Funny 1 yr of Blogging Stories

“Throwing together a blog anniversary post because it’s coming up sometime, then realizing it’s TODAY!!”

May 30th, 2018 I began posting rambles. And today it has been one whole year! πŸ˜€

To celebrate, I decided to share this funny list of my blogging experiences…

Word-sprints with bffs

*funny experiences*

getting a bunch of psychologist followers after a certain post ???

trying to figure out if someone is a real human or just a very advanced robot/spammer

not knowing how to reply to sweet or hard comments, and resorting to emojis ❀ πŸ™‚ πŸ˜€

being horrid at coming up with post titles and just going with it, aka THIS

reading a book after posting a picture of it in a library stack, and praying that no one thinks it’s a recommendation

only, like, 5 of these turned out to be good XD

forgetting what day it is and saying the wrong one in a post, aka THIS

overdue for a post and randomly put up a “gang-name” meme, whichΒ got a record-breaking 80 comments and tons of interaction, like wuut??!! lol

having only 19 fewer drafts than published posts

multiple friends told me my previous profile pic looked like I had an oven-mitt on my head. It was a black beanie, ppl.

see, it’s a BEANIE πŸ˜‰

i’d just posted before an event, my phone started getting notified really loudly over and over, I jumped and tried to turn off the volume, then my phone froze while continuing to notify loudly #fun

accidentally marking someone as spam and missing all their comments for a long time

Gregory Gillham, on Climactic Cleaning
“Everything is very open with a precise clarification of the challenges. It was really informative. Your website is very useful. Thanks for sharing!”

First off, this dude’s name is fantastic. Second, I feel deep down that his comment is actually very on-point for that post. Cleaning is a challenge, and finding my climax’s sticky-note was very useful. Kudos bro, youΒ almost passed the “sounds-normal-enough” test!!

Houston Tangaro, on 12 Books vs Their Movies {vlog with Kate}
“I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one today”

lol I am NOT marrying this guy. Like, duh of course not. But seriously– imagine it in an accent “Anna Tangaro”. I can only think of tangerines…
This spammer is actually really sweet! Why is it that they’re either rude/inappropriate or waaay too complimentary? If it weren’t for other indicators I would probably have said this comment isn’t fake! My blog theme is one of the free wordpress template thingys, but I also customized it the most I could to make it uniquely mine. πŸ˜€
Thanks, Texas-named dude, thanks. *bows*

“Is there any chance to be hired to work on this website?”

Wow, that’s a fun question!! Do you take chocolate and french fries as a salary? Cuz that’s about what I can afford and also one of the few commodities we value here. Hey! Scratch that! How about for the “gratisfaction” (Tom Sawyer, anyone? πŸ˜› ) of working on my website, you payΒ me with french fries and chocolate!! πŸ˜€ Deal? Deal. I like this. So the answer is yes… there is a chance you can be hired to work for me, Robbyn. πŸ˜›

French fries

Weird Name πŸ˜‰ , on We Went to Breakfast and I Was Surrounded by Stories
“I don’t get it”

Me neither, dearest human-who-needs-to-meet-Jesus (in reference to commenter’s name). I myself hardly understand my very own brain half the time. Although I think I did a rather good job of writing it out clearly in the post you commented on, considering all that was whirling about in my brain??? It’s a confusing place up there. But thanks for commenting anyway.

imagining up stories about the guy in background with the blue hat
cheap online loans for bad credit, on β€œSo Came the Nightmares” {flash fiction}

“that’s some argument you have!”

Yo. You are my greatest nightmare.

(if you guys go read what that ^^ post is about, you’ll see why this comment cracks me up so bad!!! XD)

Michal Landherr, on β€œBird Lady’s Spring” {Camp NaNo flash fiction}
“It’s a good shame you don’t contain a give money button! I’d definitely give money for this fantastic webpage! That i suppose for the time being i’ll be satisfied bookmarking together with including RSS feed”

Hey hey hey!! I couldn’t agree with you more, Michal! Thank you for bringing this important problem to my attention. It would be such a great thing in life to have a way for people to give me a little tip whenever they wanted. Liked my witty joke? Sure, I’ll take $2. Want to say thanks for me getting you out of an awkward situation? Some french fries plz! To make me stop talking costs more like $20. It would all go toward writing snacks, I promise.

lol I’m weird. πŸ˜‚

“Spot on with this write-up!”

Why thank you! And your name is beautiful btw, sounds like a Victorian nobility name. I’m picturing soft, flowing, auburn tresses, a graceful forest-green silk dress, and strolling arm in arm with your elderly gentleman father through a park. Probably you own a hawk too. If you’re that spunky and fun. And way cool leather gloves that come up to your elbows. Life tip: stay away from guys with tiny mustaches. It’ll save you a lot of trouble. That tiny mustache is gross AND a good indicator that he is probably no good too. (I just looked it up, and your “Catherine” spelling is French. Stay away from any barricades you come across too.)

haha This pic describes us so well

  7. XD that was awesome!!!!!! I loved the spam comments but some of them seemed real and not spam, also most of my spam comments are casinos giving me links to some website or something idk XD. also that beanie looks like… a beanie not an oven mitt… I thought your post was hilarious and my favorite part was the “you should put a give money button” XD that’s the best. :D.

  10. Congrats! The spam comments were funny, and I loved your “conversations” with the writers of them… πŸ˜€ And yes, sometimes it is really hard to tell whether they are real or not… was dealing with that the other day…. :/ But anyway, this was a funny post, and congratulations on one year of blogging! πŸ˜€
