Guys, the weather has been the most gorgeous thing ever. This weekend I tramped around in my combat boots and even had to throw on a sweatshirt! And in case anyone was wondering, yes my hair still smells like smoke from the amazing huge campfire Saturday night. ππAND RAIN, ppl. There’s literally puddles everywhere big enough to jump in and make a spectacular splash!! Even grocery shopping is fun when the parking lot is a water park!!! (yes, I’m a child when it comes to rain puddles. π )
Anyway, Friday I didn’t post because Mom took us all to the library, so then of course books needed to be read. *innocent shrug*
Correction. We went to TWO libraries!!! lol
See, while driving to our local library we realized it didn’t open for another two hours (weird hours, y’all) and instead headed to the branch just over. I grabbed two books there: a comic book about the Miles Morales Spiderman (which I read at a tiny table in the kids’ section) and The Wizard of Oz (because I’ve actually only seen the movie of this timeless classic, like, whaaat?!!).

Then chips and cheese sticks as a quick lunch in the van and we swung back by our favoritest library (now opened!) for even more books!
Um, so, I’m not very good at finding books I want to read. ππ So I wandered through the maze of shelves with Kate most of the time. And between books she assigned to me and ones my younger sisters are having me preview, I ended up with this lovely stack of to-reads.
DISCLAIMER: I don’t know if any of these books are any good or if I would recommend any of them to any of y’all. ππ
I think I’m most looking forward to reading Runny Babbit Returns tbh. π The poems crack me up and make me think too.
I’ve already read three of the books + another middle-grade that’s not pictured. Have you read any of them? Do you enjoy winter/rain?
Later peeps! ~A
Aw, sounds like so much fun, Anna! β€ π I do enjoy winter, but I like summer better. Lol, it gets really cold here! I LOVE rain!!! β€

Yeah it was great!! ππ
Really? I don’t think I knew that! Cool! I think that here I like winter best, but I can see how it could be way too cold where you’re at. π
YES RAIN!! β€

The Library….for years we haven’t actually been to a library. *ducks away from your disapproving look* we always just get so busy that we forget to return the books. Plus, I myself own over 500 books on shelves that are groaning from the load, and about 150 of them are begging to be read. *admits to slight book-buying addiction* And then our family shelves hold about 800, maybe more. My friends actually are borrowing books all the time, and joke about us being their personal library.
BUT, now that I am driving, I keep meaning to make time to get to one. We have four relatively close to us — they are all small, because, its the country. But they are there, nonetheless. I need to get some TBR books knocked off my Goodreads list =)

Oh wow that sounds exactly like my family!! For years we kept getting library fines when we forgot how long we’d had the books checked out.
Um that is a FANTASTIC number of books, Kaitlyn, love it!! Who needs a library when there are 150 books already in the house waiting to be read?! You could totally start your own library! xD
Aw tiny country libraries are the best. β€ Back where we used to live I had all the shelves practically memorized! We used to stop there to use the wifi, and since we'd eventually read all the books there, Kate and I would organize the shelves in the right order just for fun. π π
Thank you for your comment! I always appreciate them. β€

*claps* LIBRARIES FOR THE WIN FOREVER! It’s terrible, my brothers and I were in another city library, and I had a giant stack of books… and I had to go home because I couldn’t borrow them with my card. π¦ But books! These look seriously awesome!
I do think it’s a travesty that Kiera or Through All Things or any of the indie books I hear so much about are unavailable here. π‘ Oh well.

YASS!!! *claps with you* Oh that is a tragical story… hopefully you were able to read those books some other time!
Mmm sad, do Canadian libraries not get books from the States? A lot of people here request them at their library and they actually get them in! Which I’ve never had happen, but it sounds awesome. π

Hereβs hoping! XD
Not usually. π¦ I was able to get Beautiful Blue World, but not other American books, and definitely not one of the indie books I wanna read. π

Anna you all sound like you had a good day. Where ever I have lived there never was a library near. In elementary school we had a book mobile that visited the school once a week. Now I donβt have a library near and no car. Mostly we buy books.

OH MY WORD a book mobile??!! I’ve literally dreamed of owning one of those and driving it around to country people!! That is so cool.
Buying books is the best! Then you get to keep them forever. π

I have a library card but I do not go to the library. I did go a lot when they had book sales, but they no longer have them The library was quite a walk. It is now closed for renovations. I have a lot of books I have bought or received as gifts, so I have plenty of reading material.

Walking to the library is fun!! That’s too bad they don’t do book sales anymore… those things are great.
YAY for plenty of reading material! π
