Making Christmas for Our Heroes

Yesterday we pulled out a bunch of scrapbooking stuff and made Christmas cards and listened to Christmas music and ate peppermints. No, we’re not “those kinds” of people who like to celebrate Christmas every/any time of the year. lol 😛 In fact, we usually save our Christmas song binging until the end of November or beginning of December!

But this was a special case.

See, we are making cards for soldiers who can’t be home for Christmas. Blank cards for them to write in and mail to loved ones. ❤

And YOU need to make some too!!

It’s an easy, homey way to show a little appreciation and love to our lonely boys this year. ❤ Or, if scrapbooking isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other things needed for these Holiday Cheer Care Packages!

Just be sure to get everything shipped to the Boots In The House headquarters by November 5th so they can get it all to the soldiers in time. 🙂 And no shiny/glittery things.

My little sisters, Kate, and I had a great time singing along with Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, and Michael Buble, getting a dozen cards done in just a short time.

(This song was perfect while making cards for our heroes, and Michael Buble’s version is darling. )

We plan to work on many many more cards! Are you going to help out? Hope so! And Merry Christmas in September. 😉 ~A

It’s SO neat to imagine soldiers writing in and sending them home to their families. ❤

  2. Healthy soft peppermints is a thing?? I gotta try that! Ooh, and I\d love to make cards too, if I can. Does it go for Canadians too? Or should I look into something similar up here?
