“Kiera” Celebration!!

I’m so stoked. Why? Because I’m part of a blog tour for the splendid-est new novel ever!

Remember when I got to help reveal the cover for Kate’s brand new novel Kiera??!! Well now it’s actually coming out in paperback! It’s a real book y’alls!!! *dies*

In this contemporary YA set in a morally-sliding future America, Kate deals with important issues from a Christian perspective and offers us an intense novel merged with the cute family life of 18-year-old MC Kiera. See it on Goodreads.

This book. Guys, I can’t seem to write proper reviews of books that I really really like. I just let my brain and heart tumble out into lists of words and reasons it is so loveable. I guess I’ll just call them Book Celebrations, because that’s pretty much what they are. And this book definitely deserves a Book Celebration!

This book is cute family life crossed with deep themes. Very real life but definitely not in a boring way.

It’s set in near-future America which felt so so real in sort of a scary way. But good too, because I was able to connect with what was going on in the culture very well.

This book is pro-life on every level. The themes of love– true, slow-growing love– and the precious sanctity of life are very special to me.

I love Jade’s toddler talk. ❤

Thorne Malachi Clark is such a dear. The best older brother ever.

Kate handled hard issues in a phenomenal way!

Mercy, the Whites, Jessica, the Clark relatives, and the others are amazing, real, messed up, struggling humans, and very cool solid Christians. Let’s talk kitchen mishaps, share bits of encouragement, and always be there for each other. 🙂

Destiny and her brothers crack me up and also make me sad. I want more of Aric’s story. Destiny is such a strong, cheerful girl– she gives me courage. Kent… oh Kent. You make my heart hurt.

I need a bird’s nest, and you need to go read the book to understand what I’m talking about. 😉

Brennan is the bestest friend ever. Don’t even get me started. He waited. Even when it must have made him sad each day. He cares for Kiera so much. He was almost the perfect cookie-cutter man, but then soooo not. I got mad at him 3/4 the way through, but then all I wanted to do was squeeze him tight. I love his mannerisms too. XD

Ian and all his ‘spy’ stuff is funny and reminds me so much of Paul and I when we were younger! It’s super fascinating though considering what he ends up doing in Crossroads!!

Last but not least, you need to read this book for the character Kiera. Just barely entering into the adult world, she is such a good example to me of leaning on God, even when things don’t make any sense, and loving on people even when it’s hard. Way too hard not to give spoilers. lol 😀
